Don't Trust Anyone

Ram was a young migrant worker from India. His recruitment agent was a family friend, and he was told he would have a job with a good salary in Malaysia. However, when he arrived he found out things were not what they seemed. 

They Died In Front of Me

Mohammad was a Rohingya refugee. Escaping for his life, he and his friends got on a boat he thought was going to Bangladesh. However, the boat set off for Malaysia, and the agents on the boat told him he had to pay RM7,000 to land safely.

Worse Than Prison

Rahman was an Indonesian migrant worker, in the Recalibration program. While waiting for his passport, he was detained by the authorities and sentenced to 6 months in jail, before being put in a detention center “Worse than prison”.

Recruitment Scams!

Hundreds of Bangladeshi workers were left stranded and jobless in Malaysia in 2023. They were promised jobs by their recruitment agents, but after paying recruitment fees and receiving their documents they came to Malaysia to find there were no jobs.
